Congrats to NCAA on playoff decision
I want to be one of the first to congratulate the NCAA for making the right decision this week about Montana and the post-season playoff issue (which really was a non-issue in the first place).
Montana schools are now back in the playoff hosting picture, now that the NCAA has reversed an earlier ruling that – because the state allows fantasy sports gambling – those schools would not be allowed to host post-season games or tournaments.
It’s no secret that the NCAA bugs me more often than not for sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong, for its hypocrisy in so many areas, and for rulings like the one it just reversed.
So congratulations, NCAA, for – in this case, anyway – doing the right thing.
Hopefully we’ll see more of this approach down the road.
